Your 'day to day'


As a Manager Quantitative Research, you will support R&D in innovation and Smoke Free Products (SFP) assessment framework with regards to new quantitative approaches. You will implement methodologies to understand the technical product features and barriers driving consumer experience, and provide understanding of the relationship of people and technologies/products, guiding R&D in the very early stages of Development.


For this you will be working in close cooperation with different functions (Product, Consumer Insight, Legal, External Affairs, and Life Science) and with external Market research suppliers.


More specifically, you'll


  • Ensure appropriate test methodologies for quantitative consumer research through discussions with Consumer Sciences partners, R&D Project/Platform Leaders and SFP (Consumer Insights & Analytics Managers)
  • Develop plans, prepare, brief and partner with external agencies/suppliers, and appropriately report quantitative research outcomes to a high standard in order to uncover consumer preferences and understanding
  • Manage, staff and develop a motivated, skilled and optimally resourced team to ensure that performance levels and professional development achieve or exceed business objectives. Ensure long term business sustainability including appropriate On and Of job training and advancement/succession planning. Set clear objectives and measure results for direct reports. Ask and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement new methodologies for greater insight and ensuring consumer / market relevance
  • Ensure development and implementation of new or improved Behavioral methods/processes to meet regulatory requirements to support SFP pre- and post-market assessment.
  • Ensure implementation and use of best practice methodologies, following ethics & compliance guidance

Who we-re looking for


  • Master in Science or equivalent in area of specialization (e.g. Consumer Sciences, Market research, Behaviour or Cognitive psychology or social science). Advanced diploma (PhD or MBA) is an asset.
  • 8 to 10 y delivering Quantitative Research in a fast-evolving, fast-to-deliver, consumer centric, regulated consumer goods environment
  • Significant experience working with external agencies and being familiar with competitive briefs, ways of working and reporting
  • Significant experience in leading a team, providing guidance, organizing the work, developing the team and ensuring the right capacity and capability at any time
  • Creative mindset, always looking for solutions and opportunities, ready to take a challenge, collaborative team member and lifelong learner
  • Passionate about bringing the voice of the consumers into the design of our products
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral
