To strengthen our leadership position in QKD markets and develop a world-leading and recognized security certification framework for the quantum industry, we’re looking for a QKD Certification & Standardization manager who will drive this activity between our R&D and the industry leaders, as well as the various international and/or governmental organizations worldwide. This position requires a very good technical knowledge in the domain and sharp interpersonal/communication skills to influence the industry to build a strong, secure and logical path for the future of Quantum communications.

Key functions and responsibilities
Drive various QKD Security Certification programs internally and internationally, including interaction with IDQ customers
Follow and contribute to the various ETSI/ITU Quantum Certification/standardization efforts and establish a strategic vision for the company
Drive selected technical projects linked with our partners or governments
Contribute to System Characterization of QKD Systems (Hardware/Photonics)
Contribute to the definition and architecture of specific QKD Features (Hardware/photonics)

Desired skills and experience
PhD in Quantum Physics or equivalent, but background in optics/photonics is a must
Industry experience in the Quantum communication field, preferably linked to QKD systems
Demonstrated understanding and experience in security certification processes/standards
Experience in dealing with suppliers/contractors and customers
Interested in pursuing hands-on R&D activities on technical systems, incl. system characterization or writing/executing test procedures
Quick learner and ability to interact with our best R&D people
Very good interpersonal skills and good communicator, at ease with speaking in public or in front of customers
Minimum of 3-5 years already spent in the quantum industry
