CONTEXT
The Regional Compliance Specialist reports to the Regional Legal & Regulatory Compliance Manager. The position is based in Meyrin (Geneva), within our -Campus Genevois de Haute Horlogerie-.
In collaboration with the Group and Regional stakeholders, you will actively support and participate to the rollout of the Compliance strategy on different legal and regulatory compliance areas such as:
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption Compliance,
- Anti-Money Laundering Compliance,
- International Sanctions & Politically Exposed Persons Compliance,
- Anti-Trust & Competition Compliance
- Corporate & Stock Exchange Compliance,
The position is in a fast-moving area with a volume of new work constantly creating the need for reprioritisation of resources. It also requires a great deal of commitment to keeping up-to-date with new laws and regulations.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
- Working closely with the Regional Compliance Manager to support all teams across European markets in Compliance topics, and notably by dispensing Compliance trainings to retail and operations teams;
- Assisting in the conduct of investigations into potential compliance violations (whistleblowing, policies- violations, ...etc.);
- Conducting background checks on clients using reputable third-party providers and collaborating with the Compliance team to develop and implement enhanced client screening procedures.
- Assisting in the implementation of the Group-s legal and regulatory compliance strategy;
- Participating in the monitoring implementation of compliance policies and procedures regionally by improving the existing set of controls and KPIs in the Region and Markets;
Helping the Regional Compliance Manager in developing/adapting for the region relevant policies and procedures that effectively deal with the requirements for the topics listed above (e.g. Gifting Policy, AML Policy, International Sanctions
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- You hold a Bachelor degree or a Diploma in Compliance, Business Management related disciplines and/or in law
- You have a successful first 3 years- experience in a compliance, internal audit, or business legal function in complex and multicultural organizations
- You are fluent in French and English with strong written and oral communication skills (any additional languages is a plus)
- You have strong communication and facilitating skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues in simple terms
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have an ability to work independently as well as part of an overall larger team
- You are detail-oriented and organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in data analysis and data management tools would be a great advantage.
