CONTEXT: 


The regional Finance Controller of the RLGE Swiss Branch entity is responsible for managing financial reporting, planning and analysis for Richemont Regional Functions across the European region.


This role involves coordinating the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, financial forecasts, and reporting on variances and performance.


The controller serves as the primary point of contact for local markets and management regarding cost and capital expenditure (capex) management in Europe, as well as sales analysis. Additionally, the role supports various and transversal projects at regional, entity and/or Group level.


Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, this position requires communication with diverse stakeholders across the Group, Region, local Markets, and Maisons- HQs, and plays an important role in supporting the European controlling community.


HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

Europe Financial Analysis & Reporting (30%)

  • Consolidate sales for the Region and Prepare Business Performance comments including analysis by country of residency
  • Lead monthly closing activities for the Regional functions and markets, including: 

      • Conduct monthly analytical review of each market Richemont costs actuals vs budget and/or prior year, interacting with appropriate stakeholders to understand/correct deviations, challenge to ensure comprehensive understanding and ensure business commentary
        • Produce and communicate consolidated financial analysis of Richemont Europe costs to the European Executive Committee and Richemont Group Headquarters
        • Prepare Management Reporting (sales, P&L, Capex etc), including reports for Regional Management, Group Management, and the wider finance community in Europe
  • Support regional function directors in regional follow-up and initiatives

          • Lead financial review by function with each regional function heads (e.g. Customer Service, Logistics, IT etc.)
            • Provide financial insight to the regional Director and other key stakeholders

Europe Regional Budget Cycles (30%)

  • Lead the FP&A process and consolidation (closing, Budget, forecast) for the European markets- regional functions
  • Coordinate the budget process and consolidate information from European markets, preparing presentations for European and Finance Management
  • Play an active role (up to main role) in the consolidated Budget by function and forecasts processes throughout the year. Support any initiative at the department-s request
  • Conduct function-by-function analysis on the budget and liaise with respective regional teams to align Group expectations with numbers
  • Contribute to the regional budget preparation in close collaboration with the regional Executive Committee

Business & Projects (40%)

  • Lead and/or participate in a wide range of regional and/or RLGE Swiss Branch entity projects (e.g., integration of new Maisons, changes of perimeters, region enhancement), including SME workshops
  • Support Richemont Europe Management in various ad-hoc requests
  • Ensure continuous improvement of business processes to gain efficiency in the organisation
  • Drive the development, improvement, and automation of financial reports and dashboards
  • Support review and validation of Capital Approval Requests (CAR)
  • Lead/ Coordinate various transversal projects across markets, regions and/or in alignment with Group such as analysis of Second Tier Cities potential, strategic cost alignment and efficiency transformation initiatives

HOW WILL EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?


  • Masters degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Confirmed experience in Finance (controlling or audit)
  • Experience in Luxury industry a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a complex environment
  • Ability to communicate and build relationship with various internal partners
  • Ability to multitask, be structured and organized
  • Fluent in English, French a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel & PowerPoint
