Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management Development:

Advise and support the continuous improvement of the Sunstar Group's Risk Management strategy.
Collaborate with the Director of Group Risk Management to mitigate risks, particularly those managed through insurance solutions.
Provide advice on emerging internal and external risks, including cybersecurity, ESG, and CSR-related risks.
Insurance Program Management:

Develop, implement, and manage the Sunstar Group’s global insurance programs, ensuring alignment with the group’s overall strategy.
Oversee local insurance arrangements in line with global programs and strategies.
Research, develop, recommend, and manage insurance-related loss prevention programs, such as property and casualty insurance and product liability services.
Manage relationships and coordination between insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Training and Awareness:

Provide training and coaching to relevant staff to raise risk awareness across the organization.
Conduct periodic training sessions on risk and insurance management for management and staff.
Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare periodic analytical reports on loss prevention measures, identifying areas for improvement across Sunstar’s business units.
Supervision and Leadership:

Supervise team members involved in risk and insurance management activities.
Lead initiatives on insurance-linked strategies and investment structures to enhance risk mitigation efforts.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Global Headquarters: 100% direct responsibilities with oversight for regional subsidiaries (SSJ, SAI, EMEA).
Internal Relationships: Finance, Accounting, HR, Procurement, Legal, Sales/Marketing, Operations.
External Relationships: Insurance companies, brokers, consultants, and service providers.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a relevant commercial field.
Specialization in insurance and risk management is highly desirable.
Certifications in accounting and finance are an advantage.
Fluency in English and Japanese is required; knowledge of other European languages is desirable.
Experience:

Over 5 years of experience in insurance, risk management, and/or finance.
Management of internal and external risk audits.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in business administration, operations, and accounting.
