Senior technician in Analytical Chemistry

We are looking for a Senior technician in Analytical Chemistry Documentation and Mass Spectrometry for our client in the chemical industry. 

Responsibilities in Documentation: 

• Maintain and enhance our R&D databases
• Collaborate with chemists on data validation; cross-validate, control and correct structural and analytical data of chemical compounds in R&D databases using state-of-the-art software and interpretation tools
• Data retrieval/searches in R&D databases and scientific literature to support validation of data

Responsibilities in Mass Spectrometry:

• Run and maintain modern analytical mass spectrometric equipment as well as control of specifications
• Perform analyses including manual sample preparation and data processing using commercial and internally developed software
• Sample preparation such as liquid-liquid extraction of ingredients
• Register, process and organize storage of samples

We value:

• CFC or BSc in Chemistry, or equivalent
• Analytical mindset, rigorous and data oriented
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in chromatography, mass spectrometry, sample preparation techniques and quantification methods
• Sense of responsibility and initiative, ability to identify problems and find solutions, good organizational skills, precise and rigorous work style, attention to details
• Ease to work with an electronic laboratory notebook – knowledge of Dotmatics tools is a plus
• Good communication skills and team spirit
• Fluent in French, good working knowledge of English is an asset
