Sensor Development Engineer (m/f/d)
General Information:
We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Sensor Development Engineer for our client in the pharmaceutical industry. The role involves working with a dedicated team that develops and optimizes electrochemical sensors for medical devices used in diagnostics. The position is based in Rotkreuz and offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

  • Support the Sensor Development Team in developing and characterizing sensors using physical and chemical analysis methods.
  • Maintain and improve complex fluidic test systems for parallel sensor testing, including designing and testing measurement workflows.
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose hardware/software updates to enhance sensor test setups.
  • Independently plan, execute, and document experiments within the development process.
  • Take responsibility for testing equipment and contribute to the development of new tools, methods, and processes.
  • Provide technical support to the team, addressing various challenges in sensor development and testing.
  • Assist in the analysis and testing of metabolic and ion-sensitive sensors.
    Must Haves / Requirements:

  • Higher technical education (Bachelor's/Master's) in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Microtechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience in testing and optimizing complex technical systems, including fluidic, electronic, software, and mechanical components.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand and optimize complex technical issues.
  • Experience in an electrochemical laboratory environment and familiarity with various physical and chemical analysis techniques.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and document results at a high technical level.
  • Fluent in either German or English, with proficiency in the other language.
  • Open, flexible, team-oriented, and capable of taking ownership of tasks.
