Position Summary  

As a Sustainability Controller, you will support the Head of Sustainability in driving the vision, organization, practices, and initiatives/projects. This role will provide financial analysis and reporting to ensure cost visibility and adherence to legal requirements.

A Day in the Life of a Sustainability Controller

• Actively participate in defining ESG strategic directions, including the AAA program, Climate Roadmap, and Positive Cup.
• Develop external relationships with stakeholders to foster innovation and explore new paths.
• Organize and execute effective planning of climate projects to achieve CO2 glidepath.
• Ensure accurate reporting of ESG KPIs in line with SBTI and Nestlé internal requirements.
• Identify and build business cases and financing alternatives to support the CO2 roadmap, considering UN SDG progression.
• Execute planning processes for ESG and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual PEC activities related to finance.
• Drive efficiencies and cost optimizations, participate in cost improvement initiatives, and validate cost savings.

• Ensure compliance and internal control by upholding procedures and guidelines, conducting internal control of ESG activities, and serving as the key contact for audits.

  • What will make you successful

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
• Significant experience in controlling or finance functions within the FMCG industry.
• Proven capability to independently initiate and manage projects.
• Deep understanding of the business landscape and the ability to connect various aspects of the business.
• Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Experience, interest, and/or qualifications in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters.
• Knowledge of how sustainability practices are embedded within the organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey sustainability strategies and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Exposure to or experience in the procurement process is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, any additional language is a plus.
