HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
The adoption of clear processes throughout the organization, and their automation and integration in the daily operations, is a key step to ensure efficiency and a robust implementation of our Tax Governance and Risk management framework while maintaining an agile operational setup.
The Group Tax Department is recruiting a Tax Risk Manager, reporting to the International Tax and Tax Risk Management Director.
The Tax Risk Manager, in full coordination with the whole Tax team, will have responsibility over the Tax Risk and Process Framework with the goal to proactively engage and align all the different -lines of defence- towards common purpose and technical processes, fostering accountability and control through the chain in the field of tax governance.
Additionally, she or he will support the tax team in international tax matters that require transversal collaboration and project management capabilities.
In this transversal and rich position, she/he will have extensive cross-functional interactions with all the Group central functions, Maisons and Regions/Countries, initiating ideas and promoting projects, and executing these with integrity, strong cross-functional horizontal leadership and effective project management skills, contributing to maintain the role of the Tax Department as an effective Business Partner.
The Tax Risk Manager will support the Group Tax team in the following areas:
Risk and Process management:
- Maintain the Tax Risks Register and perform regular Tax Risk assessments
- Maintain the Tax Control Framework (TCF) and monitor the implementation of the Tax Controls via the existing Group Internal Control System (ICS)
- Conceptualize Tax Processes and recommendations through clear procedures/operating guidelines for effective implementation and integration in our operations
Knowledge management:
- Follow-up through training, in coordination with the other Tax team members, towards the relevant stakeholders at Maisons, Regional and Group level
Monitoring and support:
- Monitoring the implementation of Group tax policies, and assessing tax risks, via visual dashboard and periodical reporting tools
- Support in the implementation of certain cross-functional projects and enhance the team Project management capabilities
International tax:
Support the Group Tax team in areas of international tax nature:
- Tax Reporting (Total Tax Contribution, Tax management reports at financial closings)
- Pillar 2 implementation
- Structures and legal entities lifecycle
- Tax Audit management and dispute prevention
- Tax regulatory updates and knowledge sharing
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- Master-s degree in either Finance, Tax or Law
- At least 5 years of experience in international tax and/or risk management or internal controls in tax consultancy or in a large corporate group
- Risk and process-mindset, analytical skills and highly organized with attention to details, while still being creative
- Leadership skills with solid integrity values, an autonomous, proactive forward-thinker and collaboration oriented, as well as energetic and able to energize others, leading by example with an inclusive mind set
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to integrate and interact as part of a team with the various stakeholders throughout the organization, in a multicultural and diverse environment, while also able to work and build opinions independently
- Absolute fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is a must. Other language is an asset.
