Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Contract Analyst to join our Metals Desk in Geneva. You will work as part of a small team reporting to our Physical Operations Contracts and Settlements Manager, supporting our physical trading teams with a focus on Minerals (concentrates) and Metals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Minerals and Metals contracts, strong interpersonal skills, and at least 3 years of commodity trading contract handling experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Performing internal systems validations and checks
Issuing sales contracts across multiple commodities
Managing subsequent documentation & amendments as and if necessary in a timely and qualitative manner
Assessing and responding in a timely manner to counterparty contracts across multiple commodities
Liaising with different departments within the organisation to support the contract handling. Productively interacting with third parties in order to collect all relevant information and produce consistent documentation and/or comments
Skills :
Knowledge of Minerals (concentrates) and Metals contracts and/or operations, specifically around grade, pricing provisions, WSMD and assay conditions obligatory.
Experience of other dry and/or oil based products a plus.
At least 3 years commodity trading contract handling experience, preferably within a dedicated contract department, and/or legal and/or operations.
A good understanding of physical trading operations: e.g. delivery methods, quality & quantity determination, laytime & demurrage etc
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
